Welcome to IIEALearning™, the official online learning platform developed and managed by the Insurance Institute of East Africa (IIEA). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the IIEALearning™ platform, content, services, and related applications (“Services”).
By using the platform, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any specific agreements related to your organization or affiliate relationship.
If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Services.
By creating an account, accessing a course, or signing an enterprise or affiliate agreement, you acknowledge that you:
All content, materials, software, and technology on IIEALearning™ are the exclusive property of the Insurance Institute of East Africa (IIEA) or its authorized content partners. Users and partners may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from platform content without prior written consent from IIEA.

Enterprise and Affiliate Partners must ensure that all administrators and learners under their licenses comply with these Terms.
Access to courses and materials is granted after registration, payment, or valid license activation.
IIEA reserves the right to restrict or revoke access in cases of breach, misconduct, or policy violations.
Enrollments are generally non-transferable without written consent from IIEA.
Upon successful completion of a course, learners will receive a digital certificate issued by IIEA or by the licensed enterprise/affiliate, depending on partnership terms. Certificates are digitally verifiable and remain subject to IIEA’s academic standards and integrity guidelines.
a. Enterprises: Organizations using IIEALearning™ Enterprise may host staff training programs, track performance, and issue certificates internally. They are responsible for the accuracy of internal data and user management.
b. Affiliates: Approved Affiliates may host, promote, and resell IIEA courses via customized branded portals. Affiliates may:
Affiliates are strictly prohibited from sublicensing or redistributing IIEA content without authorization.
Course fees and partnership fees are payable as per the published or agreed schedule.
Pricing may vary by region or currency.
Refunds are available only under documented exceptional circumstances, subject to IIEA’s approval.
IIEA may suspend access for overdue accounts or unpaid invoices.
IIEA reserves the right to modify, update, or replace course content or platform features at any time to ensure academic relevance, regulatory alignment, and technological improvement. Users and partners will be notified of material updates.
All personal and institutional data collected through IIEALearning™ is handled according to the IIEALearning™ Privacy Policy and in compliance with the Kenya Data Protection Act (2019) and applicable international standards (e.g., GDPR). Enterprise and Affiliate partners must maintain confidentiality over learner data and use it only for legitimate educational purposes.
While IIEA strives to ensure uninterrupted access and accurate content, it shall not be liable for:

Upon termination, all licenses and access rights to the platform and content shall immediately cease.
Users and partners agree to uphold ethical standards consistent with the Insurance Institute of East Africa’s Code of Conduct. This includes integrity in learning, fair assessment, and respect for diversity and intellectual property.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Nairobi, Kenya, unless otherwise agreed under a formal partnership contract.
IIEA reserves the right to revise these Terms periodically. Updates will be posted on the platform and take effect upon publication. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
